Our Purpose

We have created an interactive resource in which parents and professionals (such as teachers, SLPs, and ABA therapists), as well as individuals with high-functioning autism, can find information about social stories, examples, and links to other helpful resources about Autism Spectrum Disorders and social stories.

Currently, there are limited resources available that provide access to free social stories for use by professionals as well as individuals with high-functioning autism.  The social stories available on this website can be used by both parents and professionals for use in the classroom and/or home setting, as well as individuals with high-functioning autism who are looking for a resource that will help them know what to do in a social situation they may encounter.  These social stories assist pragmatic language development and function for individuals with high-functioning autism or Asperger’s syndrome.

Our objective is to educate parents, professionals, and individuals with high-functioning autism, as well as provide a resource for developing and using social stories.  On this website, you will find links to several social stories (e.g., running errands, going to special events, and attending workplace functions).  You can also find information about writing your own social stories.
